PROJECT 1
1. Physical Collage
Near the end of the class, Mr. Martin assigned us to create three pre-composition of a physical collage using magazines. But since I am an international student, I didn't have the resources for the physical magazine collage at the time. Mr. Martin had allowed us non-locals to print the pages as we like. However, choosing between images is difficult for me, as numerous options exist. Fortunately, a friend kindly gave me a stack of old magazines. I utilized it the best I could.
The materials used for this exercise are magazines, scissors, a glue stick, and some buffalo paper. I start by choosing and cutting pictures I will set into a collage. Afterward, I arrange it accordingly until the composition seems visually pleasing.

Feedback: Mr. Martin liked Pre-Composition #2 the best of the three compositions because it's as though we can see a golden ratio in the composition.

Exercise 1
Our first task for this exercise was to take a full-body picture of ourselves from an eye level and edit the image into the Hearst Mansion. For this task, I took a picture of myself before a white wall for easier masking in Photoshop. I also wore colored clothes, so they didn't blend into the white background.
