I enjoyed the Design Principles module; it involves a lot of drawing, and hey, that's my expertise! The best part about this module is that I can draw without feeling restricted by my art style. Initially, I was worried that I overdid my designs or that they wouldn't match what was assigned. Glad that wasn't the case! Sketching out designs, getting feedback on them, and finalizing said sketches are so much fun. I would also like to add how much I appreciate the weekly feedback session, as it feels like I'm getting my ass chased from the deadline. I could complete so many illustrations in a short amount of time with a good consistency (past me could never).
My favorite project is 'Sense of Place'; I had so much fun going down memory lane and designing my piece! I'm satisfied with the result of that project. In contrast, my most disliked project out of the ones we had is most likely the final project, 'Visual Analysis'. It involved a lot of writing and research, which I admit is not my field. TTwTT
For my final say, Design Principles has taught me so much about the importance of consistency and creative thinking. Our projects are continuous throughout the semester, reinforcing my consistency as critiques and evaluations are given weekly by Ms. Jinchi. I hope to have her as my lecturer again for the next upcoming semesters!
